We have supplied a Tourtalk simultaneous interpretation system to a Welsh interpreter.
Dr Siôn Aled Owen has many year’s experience providing Welsh to English interpretation at public events.
‘I’d also like to say that I’ve been very pleased with the equipment. Setting up and packing up are both much quicker without the need of an (infrared) emitter, sound quality is great, and I don’t have to worry about people being behind pillars, at the far end of the room etc. Also, most people are able to leave the earpiece in place throughout the meeting so there’s no need to be putting headphones on and taking them off all the time. Also, the system is very light and compact to carry - which is especially useful for someone like myself who likes to travel by train when I can. I have used them in four meetings so far and each time there have been unsolicited positive comments about ease of use and the sound quality. There have been no negative comments.
