Seagate Technologies have regular site visits/tours of their facilities and use a Tourtalk tour guide system. The guide often takes groups of up to thirty people and uses the tour guide system to ensure they are heard.
The tour guide system comprises a wireless transmitter with microphone for the guide, and wireless receivers with earphones for the visitors.
Seagate decided to purchase two transmitters to enable the system to be split into two separate groups. They also purchased two types of microphone for each transmitter-
The headband microphone is ideal for when the guide needs to conduct their tour hands-free.
The plug-in microphone is used when the transmitter is shared between multiple guides or for any interviews, question/answer sessions during the tour.
Two Tourtalk charger cases ensure the transmitters and receivers are charged and protected between tours.
Seagate designs, manufactures and markets storage devices, including hard drives, solid state drives and hybrid drives
At its wafer fabrication facility in Springtown, Londonderry, the company develops and manufactures recording heads, which write information onto and read information from the recording disk inside a hard drive product.
