We have supplied Tourtalk TT 100 tour guide systems for guided walks of the world-famous Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland.
We were approached by St Andrews to provide a system to assist their tour guides in communicating to their tour groups. After discussing their requirements, it was essential a system must work well in windy conditions, as the weather can change quickly at the Links course.
After trialling a tour guide system, they decided to purchase Tourtalk TT 100 systems. These systems enable two transmitters to operate on the same channel, allowing two tour guides to speak to the same tour group.
St Andrews is the birthplace of Golf with the game being played there for over 600 years. With over 230,000 rounds of golf played over the seven public courses, St Andrews attracts visitors from all over the globe. Visitors can walk in the footsteps of icons, experience a player’s eye view of the Old Course and soak up the history of the centuries-old fairways with local tour guides.
