Tourtalk system for U3A

We have recently supplied the U3A with a Tourtalk hearing support system to assist members that are hard-of-hearing.

After trialling a number of different brands of tour guide system, Tourtalk was chosen as it was the only system that worked adequately with neck loops.

The system will be used for guided tours or site visits. The guide will use a wireless microphone with transmitter, and the tour group will use wireless receivers with either earphones or (if a hearing aid wearer) neck loops.

The Tourtalk TT-NL neck worn inductive loop is designed for use with Tourtalk receivers. The user simply plugs the neck loop into the headphone socket and sets their hearing aid to the ‘T’ program. The audio is then transmitted in the form of a magnetic field which is induced directly into the hearing aid.
