We have recently supplied a multi-channel Tourtalk simultaneous interpretation system to the Focolare Centre for Unity.
The system comprises of Tourtalk TT 40-ST Stationary transmitters (with TT 40-STH headsets), Tourtalk TT 40-R receivers (with TT-SEP single earphones) and chargers.
Each Tourtalk TT 40-ST Stationary transmitter (with TT 40-STH headset) is fed with an audio feed from the Centre’s sound system. Each interpreter can then monitor the floor language (via the STH’s headphones) and speak simultaneously into the transmitter (via the STH’s boom microphone), in their allocated language. The audience can then choose which interpreter they want to listen to, by selecting the appropriate channel on their receiver.

The Centre has multiple meeting spaces and is used by many types of groups: religious – any faith, charities – local or international, Local authority groups, NHS groups and is the home of the Focolare Movement too.
